Product of the Month: Trek Superfly 100 AL Pro

This month's choice is the gorgeous looking Trek Superfly 100 AL Pro.

A part of this year's Gary Fisher collection, the Superfly 100 AL Pro features 29" wheels for better obstacle clearance, more momentum and greater ride stability.

G2 Geometry improves handling in all conditions, at all speeds, with the frame constructed from Trek's Alpha Platinum Aluminium - which features an E2 tapered head tube and press-fit bottom bracket.

Trek's patented Active Braking Pivot (ABP) offers always-active suspension and this bike comes with the ABP Convert set-up which also provides a thru-axle that's 35% stiffer than any open dropout design.

FCC MTB Wheels form another part of the awesome set-up, with oversized hub, flanges and end caps creating a flex-free 29" wheel capable of chewing through technical terrain.

Trisports are proud to announce their sponsorship of The Baldock Half-Marathon, which is held on 18 March 2012.

This inaugural event will provide a professional and well organised half-marathon for local run enthusiasts, as well as duathletes and triathletes looking to get in shape for the season ahead.

And congratulations to Nathan Scott, who won a free entry to the race via our Facebook competition last week.

Bike Fit Room renovated – our bike fit room is currently being renovated and turned into a bike fit ‘studio’ that’s worthy of the Trisports name.
YouTube channel – In addition to our e-newsletter, Facebook and Twitter pages, we’ll also be releasing videos onto our very own YouTube channel this year.
Website – Sticking with the online theme, 2012 will also see the launch of the brand new website, which will show the shop and the team in the way it should be.
Olympics – The Olympic Torch will be visiting Letchworth town centre in the run-up to London 2012 and as your local swim, bike and run specialists will be looking to be keenly involved.
Race sponsorship – Yet again we will be supporting key local races and in the process local clubs and its athletes by ensuring great prizes and attendance on the day.
More competition giveaways – Throughout the year we will be running a host of multisport-themed competitions for you to enter and win free of charge!
Demo bikes – New for 2012, we will be stocking a range of demo bikes that you’ll be able to take away for 24 hours and use in real world conditions.

Product of the Month: Trek Madone 5.9

This month’s ‘Product of the Month’ has had the whole team exhausting pretty much every superlative known to man.

We’re talking of course about to the 2012 Trek 5.9 Madone with Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset technology.

As you’d expect from a Trek Madone, the 5.9 frame has 9-time Tour de France winning geometry and performance at its heart for the best handling and performance.

There’s also pro-level integration via internal cable routing and DuoTrap technology, as well as a BB90 bottom bracket (the widest bottom bracket available on a road bike) and a reshaped ‘Ride Tuned’ seatmast that cuts 30g from the frame’s weight and adds 43% more vertical compliance for a ride that’s as comfortable as it is fast.
