Product of the Month: Trek Madone 5.9

This month’s ‘Product of the Month’ has had the whole team exhausting pretty much every superlative known to man.

We’re talking of course about to the 2012 Trek 5.9 Madone with Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset technology.

As you’d expect from a Trek Madone, the 5.9 frame has 9-time Tour de France winning geometry and performance at its heart for the best handling and performance.

There’s also pro-level integration via internal cable routing and DuoTrap technology, as well as a BB90 bottom bracket (the widest bottom bracket available on a road bike) and a reshaped ‘Ride Tuned’ seatmast that cuts 30g from the frame’s weight and adds 43% more vertical compliance for a ride that’s as comfortable as it is fast.

And finally, there is that Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset! Programmed electronic shifting for fast, perfect gear shifts every time and a crash saver function that means even in the event of an ‘off’ the gearing never drops out of alignment.

Shimano riders will also be immediately at home with the ergonomic STI levers as all the levers are in exactly the same place as on the mechanical versions.

And with a single charge of the 7.4v lithium ion battery lasting at least 1,250 miles, with a charge time of just ninety minutes, your legs will give out long before the battery does!

So, what can you expect to pay for all this amazing Trek and Shimano technology? Only £3,500.

No, you didn’t misread – Just £3,500 – and that’s why 75% of the 2012 stock of these bikes has already been sold!

So, if you want to be one of the chosen few to be riding this amazing bike this year, you need to be placing your order with us as soon as possible to ensure that you’re one of the remaining 25% who get to own one of these amazing bikes.
