As proud sponsors of the Duck N' Dash 'Garden City' Aquathlon - we'd love to see as many of our loyal customers as possible take part in this fantastic local event.

Organised and run to a very high standard by local club Freedom Tri, without ever losing its friendly and accessible nature, the Duck N' Dash offers the perfect opportunity for both children and seniors to cut their teeth in the world of multisport.

Taking place from 9:00am on Sunday 2 September 2012 at Letchworth Garden City outdoor 50m pool, the race consists of a 600m swim followed by a 6km cross-country run around Norton Common.

Fi'zi:k Kurve saddles

Trisports are now stocking a vastly expanded range of fi'zi:k and fi'zi:k Kurve saddles, with demo versions available for all stocked models in order to provide you with true 'try before you buy' peace of mind.

As the saddle is the main contact point with your bike, choosing the right saddle for you can mean the difference between enduring a long ride and enjoying one!

Product of the Month: Trek Superfly 100 AL Pro

This month's choice is the gorgeous looking Trek Superfly 100 AL Pro.

A part of this year's Gary Fisher collection, the Superfly 100 AL Pro features 29" wheels for better obstacle clearance, more momentum and greater ride stability.

G2 Geometry improves handling in all conditions, at all speeds, with the frame constructed from Trek's Alpha Platinum Aluminium - which features an E2 tapered head tube and press-fit bottom bracket.

Trek's patented Active Braking Pivot (ABP) offers always-active suspension and this bike comes with the ABP Convert set-up which also provides a thru-axle that's 35% stiffer than any open dropout design.

FCC MTB Wheels form another part of the awesome set-up, with oversized hub, flanges and end caps creating a flex-free 29" wheel capable of chewing through technical terrain.

Event News!

Trisports are proud to announce their sponsorship of The Baldock Half-Marathon, which is held on 18 March 2012.

This inaugural event will provide a professional and well organised half-marathon for local run enthusiasts, as well as duathletes and triathletes looking to get in shape for the season ahead.

And congratulations to Nathan Scott, who won a free entry to the race via our Facebook competition last week.

Held on 28 April 2012 at Old Warden Park, Biggleswade, and consisting of both sprint and standard distance races (which can be done as an individual or  relay team), this will be a great chance to flex your multisport muscles.

Again we will be there on race day to cheer everyone on and have a good stock of race day essentials for you to buy.

Here’s a sneak preview of what to expect from Trisports in 2012:

• Bike Fit Room renovated – our bike fit room is currently being renovated and turned into a bike fit ‘studio’ that’s worthy of the Trisports name.
• YouTube channel – In addition to our e-newsletter, Facebook and Twitter pages, we’ll also be releasing videos onto our very own YouTube channel this year.
• Website – Sticking with the online theme, 2012 will also see the launch of the brand new website, which will show the shop and the team in the way it should be.
• Olympics – The Olympic Torch will be visiting Letchworth town centre in the run-up to London 2012 and as your local swim, bike and run specialists will be looking to be keenly involved.
  
• Race sponsorship – Yet again we will be supporting key local races and in the process local clubs and its athletes by ensuring great prizes and attendance on the day.
  
• More competition giveaways – Throughout the year we will be running a host of multisport-themed competitions for you to enter and win free of charge!
  
• Demo bikes – New for 2012, we will be stocking a range of demo bikes that you’ll be able to take away for 24 hours and use in real world conditions.
  
• Coffee bar area – A revamp of our coffee bar area will make Trisports a great place to start and finish your rides, as well as make it a convenient ‘pit-stop’ for any last minute top ups of nutrition, inner tubes, CO2 canisters etc.
